St Matthews Anglican Church Extensions

SQC Group served as Architects for the new Parish Centre at St Matthews Anglican Church in Wanniassa. 

This facility features a large multipurpose meeting space, small meeting rooms, a Children’s Play Group facility, kitchen, and amenities. The design incorporates Passivhaus principles for superior energy performance, resulting in a healthier, more comfortable, and cost-efficient building. Accessibility was enhanced with increased wheelchair access via  additional carparking and the inclusion of ramps and an accessible bathroom.

The expansion enhances the Church’s ability to provide more services on-site and supports community programs. After a 12-month construction period, the project was completed in November 2023 and opened to the public in April 2024 during a special community open day.
