Playground Martini and Tapas Bar

Surrounded by government offices, coffee shops and The Canberra Centre; Playground is located in busy Garema Pl, the heart of Canberra’s CBD.

Our brief was to create a fun, playful bar with a relaxed urban vibe where people can catch up with friends over a martini or have a bite to eat.

We achieved this by using a unique palette of colours, textures and new materials. Crystal and latte glass styled polypropylene ottomans, colourful powder coated furniture combined with graffiti artworks, timber log bar front, creeping ivy over the buildings original brick wall and canopy of rope lights over the bar give a playful feel to the space.

A relaxed and chilled out vibe was created with low level lighting while a playful visual projection of flying birds adds a unique quirky vibe.
