Horse Park Homestead – Asset Review and Future Use Study

SQC_BrandIcon_Colour_heritage

Horse Park Homestead is one of the collection of surviving and operational 19th Century rural properties which survive within the ACT and are progressively being enclosed by suburban development.

The Homestead is listed on the ACT Heritage register for the rare demonstrable overlay of Ecological, indigenous and European Cultural Heritage attributes exhibited on the site. A Conservation Management Plan has been prepared separately.

As part of the forward planning for the Estate Development Planning of the suburb of Jacka which adjoins the north boundary, SQC Group were engaged to lead a team of Heritage and Ecology specialists to undertake an assessment of the Sites assets and develop strategies and options for the future use of the site to protect and enhance understanding of its built, historic and ecological assets in the context of its being enclosed by suburban development.
