Department of Defence State Room

The Department of Defence required the establishment of a State Room to host visiting dignitaries.

Our engagement included concept design, finishes, furniture selection, documentation, and construction attendance. The State Room solution included three main areas: waiting, reception and a conference room.

The expansive waiting area supports informal meetings through to private retreat areas. The furniture selection showcases Australian designed and manufactured items with select pieces upholstered in Indigenous designed fabrics. The reception room houses an appointed kitchenette to support catering for events.

While the conference room required the commissioning of a bespoke boardroom table produced from reclaimed RAAF Fairbairn Hanger 46 structural timbers.
