Australian War Memorial – Northern Facade Stonework Restoration

In 2020, SQC Group were engaged by the Australian War Memorial (AWM) to undertake a facade inspection and document the scope of restoration works for the sandstone northern wall of the main exhibition building.

The project formed part of the advance works for the major redevelopment project on the AWM site.  The scope included site investigation, condition assessment and documentation of a scope of works to restore the stonework to a sound and condition prior to the façade being ‘enclosed’ within the new exhibition space between the Main Building and a new Anzac Hall building.

Our direct engagement by AWM arose from a recommendation for our work at National Film and Sound Archive.
