Lumi Apartments

Lumi Apartments is a multi-unit residential development in the Gungahlin Town Centre in the ACT.

We have been engaged as Access Consultants on the project from initial design stage (2015) through to certification at construction completion in 2021. 

The project provides 145 apartments in a development of two towers (six and 12 storeys in height), with ground level commercial tenancies.   Fifteen (15) of the Units were designed and constructed as Adaptable dwellings compliant to AS4299 Adaptable Housing Class C in pre-adapted form.  

The site has significant fall along the long axis which is parallel to the street frontage which provided challenges to the Architects. 

However, through close liaison at design and construction stages an innovative and compliant solution was developed without the need for extensive Tactiles or barriers in the public realm.
